Though not proud, I have been one of the early adopters of Facebook, sharing every snippet of my life there. Creating albums for every event that has ever happened in my life, I’ve used the platform as a diary or sort of visual storage, worried about the material obsolescence of things.
I’ve made a conscious effort to create a version of ‘me’ in this platform, though what I see may have not been what ‘it’ saw.
Pipeline:
Ran all the photos from im2txt and generated captions for every 851 photo. The bias on the photos including ones I took in West Africa and SE Asia were spooky, apart from the misinterpretation of the context there is an obvious lack of recognition
Then I reversed the process and fed the txt to attnGAN to generate images from it.
The result is machine halucinating on my online persona.
